How 3 Famous Brands Got Their Names

Some of the brand names we use or hear about every day have some very strange and surprising origins.

Today I would like to show you the origins of three famous brands.

Ready? Here they are….

origin of the pepsi brand

Verizon – Its name comes from the combination of the word “veritas” (latin for “truth”) and the word horizon.

Reebok – Its name comes from the Afrikaans spelling of the word “rhebok“, which is an African antelope.

Pepsi – Its name comes from the digestive enzyme called “pepsin“.

This just goes to show you that it doesn’t matter how you come up with your brand name.

What matters is how great your product or service is and what meaning you give to your brand name after you choose it.
