Story: Julius Caesar’s Bold Actions And A Lesson On Success

success lesson from Julius Caesar

Legend has it that when Julius Caesar landed on the shores of Britain with his Roman legions, he took a bold and crucial step to ensure the success of his military venture.

He ordered his men to march to the edge of the Cliffs of Dover.

Once there, he commanded them to look down at the water below.

To their amazement, they saw every ship in which they had crossed the channel engulfed in flames.

It wasn’t an attack from an enemy.

Caesar had deliberately cut off any possibility of retreat.

Now that his soldiers were unable to return to the continent, there was nothing left for them to do but to advance and conquer!

And guess what?

That’s exactly what they did.

Bill Cosby said this about commitment, “Anyone can dabble, but once you’ve made that commitment, your blood has that particular thing in it, and it’s very hard for people to stop you.

2 Questions:

  • Are you dabbling in your business or are you committed?
  • Are their any boats you need to burn?
