Here is the Episode Description

This episode is called “Dan Sullivan and The 80 Percent Progression.” Here’s the description of this episode…

In 10xTalk #49, Genius Network Member Dan Sullivan gives a presentation at a Genius Network Event about the 80 Percent Progression.   Most people shoot for 100% on any project. The problem with aiming for 100% is that it inspires perfectionism and procrastination. These are the two paralyzing traps that undermine personal or organizational confidence. It deflates morale and leaves you with about 50% of the energy you could have on the same project. It’s all in the approach.  Dan Sullivan is the world’s foremost expert on entrepreneurship in action.

Many of the world’s top-performing business owners regard Dan Sullivan as the person to teach you how to be a better entrepreneur. Dan is the founder of Strategic Coach® and author of Laws of Lifetime Growth. Perfectionism is the obsession with the “ideal.”

What it really is, though, is the refusal to decide  or commit. It’s also the attempt to judge yourself by a standard of perfection, which is harmful because it can’t be achieved and breaks down confidence. Procrastination is the refusal to take action.

Clearly, procrastination and preparation without action are counterproductive and pointless; you can gain an advantage by immediately  engaging with and completing the project. Ideally, you will be able reach your first 80% as fast as possible. For the most part, others accept our 80% as 100%!

Why you will want to listen to it:

  • If you’re a perfectionist, this will show you the error of your ways
  • It will free you to accomplish more with less stress and guilt
  • His method will help improve your confidence
  • You’ll learn a new way to measure your progress that will help you to feel better
  • How to reframe your day in “wins” (and how many to focus on)
  • It will give you a new way to deal with procrastination
  • Why the first move you make is so important
  • What you can learn from the airlines
  • How to think of the “fastest first step”
  • Why you need to get “different abilities” involved into a project as soon as possible
  • Why only running on talent while eventually cause you to run into walls
  • Why 80% is more useful than 100%
  • How this can double your income and increase the amount of time you have available
  • And more
