Interesting Business Facts: First ATMS, Scott Paper Co. Embarrassment, & Henry Ford’s Little-Known Contribution

Here are the 3 interesting facts for today:

  • The first ATMs were installed in New York City back in 1977.  Where? At Citibank branches.

  • When Scott Paper Company first started making toilet paper they didn’t want to put their name on the product.  Why? Because of embarrassment.

  • Henry Ford isn’t just the father of the automobile.  He is also father of the charcoal briquette.  How?  He created the charcoal briquette from the wood scraps and sawdust from his car factory.
