San Francisco Business Times has released their annual list of the “100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area.”
Here are four of the businesses that are from San Mateo County:

How did businesses qualify for this list?
According to San Francisco Business Times this is how these companies qualified…
“To qualify for the 2012 List, companies had to meet the following criteria:
“Independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship, or partnership (not a subsidiary or division) through fiscal year-end 2011. Companies that went public or were acquired in fiscal year 2011 were eligible.
“Headquartered in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo or Marin; or the city of Palo Alto.
‘A three-year sales history (fiscal years 2009, 2010, 2011). Applications were accepted for fiscal years ending through March 31, 2012, which, for our purposes, qualifies as fiscal year 2011.
‘The company must have been in business throughout fiscal year 2009 with a net revenue (revenue less deductions for returns) of more than $200,000 in that year.
‘Companies were also required to provide financial documentation”
