St. Patrick died on March 17, 461 AD.
3. If he wasn’t born in Ireland, how did he end up there?
He was taken there by maurauders who raided his family’s estate in Wales and held him captive as a slave in Ireland for six years. He made it back home, became a priest and returned to Ireland.
