Who was she?
Kim Linehan held the world record in the Women’s 1500-meter freestyle.
Not only that, but according to her coach, Paul Bergen, the 18-year-old was the leading amateur female distance swimmer in the world.

Kim performed endless exercises and swam 7 to 12 miles a day.
