“Google Inc. wants to bridge the gap in Mountain View.
“Looking to connect the Googleplex in the city’s North Bayshore area to a planned new campus at Moffett Field, the search giant wants to build a private, transit- and pedestrian-only bridge between the two that would help keep Googlers’ cars off the road.
“But city council members declined to fast-track the proposal on Tuesday, with some council members saying they wanted to wait until a transportation study is completed in a few weeks before moving forward.
“The action — or lack thereof — came during a study session that provided a rare update on Google’s real estate plans from the company itself, which famously keeps its CRE strategy close to its chest.”
