Funny Christmas Story: Buy Your Own Presents!
I came across a humorous Christmas story that I think you’ll like.
One Christmas season a grandfather was feeling too overwhelmed to go through the hassle of shopping for gifts for everyone in his family.
He thought about what to do about this and came up with a great idea.
He decided to send checks to everyone instead.
He was so excited about this ideas, so in each card he wrote, “Buy your own present!” and mailed them all early.
He got caught up in the usual excitement of family activities and really enjoyed his Christmas that year.
It was only after the holiday that he noticed that he had received very few cards in return.
He thought that was a little strange, so he went into his study, to write a couple of his relatives and figure out what had happened.
It was then, as he cleared off his cluttered desk that he got his answer.
Under a stack of papers, he was horrified to find the gift checks.
He had forgotten to enclose them with the cards!
