The Meaning And Celebration Of Good Friday
Here at BayBusinessHelp.com, we know you are more than a business owner.
You have family, friends, likes, dislikes, hobbies, religious beliefs (or maybe you have no religious beliefs), and other interests.
For that reason, along with the many business-related posts, we regularly posts many non-business posts.
Today’s post is one of those types of posts.
This is the day that those who call ourselves Christians remember the death of Jesus on the cross.
It might sound strange, but Christians call this day “Good Friday.”
Why is it called “Good Friday”?
Why would this day be a day that Christians call “good” when it’s a day he died?
It’s because Christian believe that on that day Jesus died for the sins of the world.
Why? As Jesus said it himself in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world…”
Someone once described it in this way…
“It’s Good Friday. Good because 2000 years ago the events of today prove that we matter to God.” — Unknown
How it is celebrated
Most Christians celebrate this day by taking time to remember what this day signifies.
Many also will do this by participating in Good Friday services at noon or on Friday evening.
