The Two Questions We Should All Be Asking Ourselves
The Important Questions in Life
I believe that many of us are so busy going, going, going that most of us never stop to ask the important questions.
And there is a really good chance that that way of living is going to cause us to live a life full of regrets by the time we reach the end of our lives.
So what can we do?
We need to begin asking ourselves the important questions of life. What kind of questions? I’m glad you asked. 🙂
Two Questions We Should Be Asking Ourselves
Here are two suggestions on the kinds of questions we all should be asking ourselves.
1. This quote from Jim Rohn reveals the first question…
“What you become is far more important than what you get. The important question to ask on the job is not, “What am I getting?” Instead, you should ask, “What am I becoming?”
Then he went on to say, “Getting and becoming are like Siamese twins: What you become directly influences what you get. Think of it this way: Most of what you have today you have attracted by becoming the person you are today.”
You can read the rest of what Jim says about this here: You Can Have More—If You Become More.
2. In an article on INC.com called Steve Jobs Asked Himself One Question Every Day. You Should Too, by , reveals the second question…
If today were the last day of your life, would you want to be doing what you’re doing?
Every day of his working life, Steve Jobs looked in the mirror and asked himself that question, he told a Stanford graduating class in a justly famous speech. “Whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something,” he added.
You can read the rest of Mindy’s article and learn her five steps you can take if you can’t answer “yes” to Steve’s question. Click here to read Steve Jobs Asked Himself This Everyday. You Should To
NOTE: There are many other important questions that we should be asking ourselves, some questions that are even more important than these. These are just meant to get you started with asking the important questions.
