Glassdoor is a really cool website. It’s a site where employees and former employees get to anonymously review companies and their management. It has become one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites.

According to Glassdoor, the company is “built on the foundation of increasing workplace transparency.”

The thing I like about Glassdoor is that all of the information that they share on their site is from he people who know a company best — the employees.

Using their unique data on jobs and companies, they compiled a list of the 50 Best Jobs in America for 2019.

The Three Factors on the Minds of Job Seekers Today

According to Glassdoor, their list is based on “three factors that are top of mind for job seekers today.”

Here are the three factors:

  • Salary: The median base salary reported on Glassdoor over the past year;
  • Job Openings: The number of U.S. open job openings on Glassdoor as of 1/2/19; and
  • Job Satisfaction: The overall job satisfaction rating (on a scale of 1.0 to 5.0) reported by actual employees working in these roles on Glassdoor over the past year.
