What Is A Thought Leader?

Wikipedia defines a thought leader in this way…

“A thought leader is an individual or firm that is recognized as an authority in a specialized field and whose expertise is sought and often rewarded.”

Did you catch the part about “whose expertise is sought and often rewarded“?

That has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

The Attraction Of A Thought Leader

I have a question for you. Based on the definition above…

Who do you think has a harder time attracting clients?

An average business owner or a thought leader in that arena?

That’s right.

The average business owner will have a MUCH harder time.

That’s why you should do everything you can to morph  yourself from being “average business owner” to “thought leader”.

3 Ways To Become A Thought Leader

You’re probably thinking, “But, how do I become a thought leader in my local niche?”

It’s simple, but not necessarily easy.

It requires 3 things:

1. You have to have something to say.

For a business owner, this should be information, tips, advice, etc. that helps people who you are wanting to become customers.

2. You have to share your ideas.

You have to be willing to write or record your ideas and put them out there for potential customers and others to discover.

3. You have to share them in an appealing or intriguing way.

You can’t be boring or you will be ignored.
You must learn to communicate your ideas in a way that people will want to consume them and come back for more.

How I Can Help You And How I Can’t Help You

Look, I’ll be honest.

I can’t give you something to say. YOU have to have ideas to share.

I can’t force you to share your ideas. YOU have to want to share them. *I know you’re busy, but YOU have to realize how important it is for your to become a thought leader.

I CAN help you to learn ways to create content in an appealing way that people will want to consume.

3 Ways I Can Help You To Create Engaging Content

1. Check out this post I wrote recently for a popular website called 12Most.com.

It’s called “12 Most Effective Ways To Create Irresistible Content”.

It reveals a simple “formula” that help you to create powerful content.

2. Check out my new website called 21TypesofContentWeCrave.com.

When I came up with the idea for this infographic called “21 Types of Content We Crave” one day I never could have imagined the response.

You see, I had begun thinking about the common types of content that appeal to people across a wide range of audiences.

I realized that taping into these types of content was the key to creating content people crave.

I had the infographic created and wrote a post to go with it for ContentMarketingInstitute.com.

It originally appeared on their site back on June 5, 2012.

And that’s when the responses and tweets started rolling in.

I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.

Click here to check out the website I created and view the infographic yourself, learn more about it, and see how you can harness its power.

3. I can work with you individually.

I can work with you individually, by phone and online, to teach you how to become better at crafting content that reveals the true expert you are in your arena.
