Here’s How You Can Harness The Power Of “Together”
If you’re like most people, you want to achieve something significant, something meaningful with your life.
You want your life to matter. You want to succeed at business and in the other areas of life.
Well, I want to talk to you today about the way for you to achieve all of this. It’s found in one word and the word is: Together.
It’s easy to believe the myth of the “self made” man or woman.
But this is a fact: we can’t achieve anything significant, anything of real value, on our own. It will only happen together – with someone else.
We shared this quote before, but it’s worth repeating.
Harvey Mackay in his book “Dig Your Well Before Your Thirsty” says, “If I had to name the single characteristic shared by all truly successful people I’ve met over a lifetime, I’d say it is the ability to create and nurture a network of contacts.”
He goes on to say, “No matter how smart you are, no matter how talented, you can’t do it alone.” If Harvey’s words aren’t enough to convince you, then how about the following fact?
Redwood Trees
Redwood trees are amazing. They are the largest living things on earth and the tallest trees in the world. Some of them are 300 feet high and more than 2,500 years old. You would think that trees that large would have a tremendous root system, reaching down hundreds of feet into the earth. But they don’t.
Redwood trees are a physical example of the power of together.
And do you know what? The “secret” behind many of the great successes throughout history has been the fact that their “roots” were “intertwined” with others.
Napolean Hill Shares Henry Ford’s Secret
Napolean Hill once shared this story about Henry Ford, “It is a well-known fact that Henry Ford began his business career under the handicap of poverty, illiteracy, and ignorance.
“It is an equally well-known fact that, within the inconceivably short period of ten years, Mr. Ford mastered the three handicaps, and thatwithin twenty-five years he made himself one of the richest men in America.
“Connect with this fact the additional knowledge that Mr. Ford’s most rapid strides became noticeable from the time he became a personal friend of Thomas A. Edison, and you will begin to understand what the influence of one mind upon another can accomplish.
Hill then said, “Go a step further, and consider the fact that Mr. Ford’s most outstanding achievements began from the time that he formed a Master Mind with Harvey Firestone, John Burroughs, and Luther Burbank… and you will have further evidence that power may be produced through the friendly alliance of minds.”
No matter what your business is, no matter what your goals are, the most powerful and effective way to succeed and achieve your dreams is discovered and experienced when you live out the power of this word: together.
