The Text Version of the Quote

In case you need the text version of this quote, here it is…

“Not everything that counts can be counted. Not everything that can be counted counts.” – Dr. Charles Garfield.

His Book “Peak Performance”

Charles Garfield is one of the speakers most frequently requested by corporations, associations, and universities worldwide.

He was first inspired to study peak performers when he worked on Apollo 11 and observed the remarkable team that gave their very best to put the first man on the moon.

With a degree in clinical psychology, he currently serves on the faculty of the University of California Medical School.

He wrote a book called Peak Performance back in 1987. In that book he revealed these truths:

  • Peak performers are not born — they’re made.
  • They are not superhumans with special talents — they are average people in every walk of life.
  • Peak performers are not workaholics — they are committed to success, not activity.
  • Peak performer do share six common attributes, and Charles Garfield tells us what they are. They are skills anyone can cultivate, and knowing them is the first step toward personal growth and top achievement.
